Dunavant Global Logistics Group has added a warehouse in Pasadena, Texas, signaling a major strategic move as the company adds warehousing capability to complement its strong portfolio of logistics and transportation services in the gulf coast region.

“Our trucking operations in the Houston market are substantial and growing,” says Dunavant COO Richard McDuffie.  “Being able to offer warehousing complements our full suite of drayage services and allows us to offer complete turn-key solutions to our growing customer base.”

The new warehouse is located within 5 miles of Barbour’s Cut and Bayport Terminals.  The 175,000 sq ft  facility, with 32 bay doors and 2 drive in ramps, is servicing the import/export needs of Dunavant’s customers. The facility is partially racked, CTPAT compliant, and offers secure, fenced trailer parking.  It will be managed by Dean Bay, Dunavant’s Director of Warehousing and Distribution for the area and a seasoned logistics veteran with proven experience in the chemical, plastics, consumer goods, and durable goods industries.

“We can help companies with everything from raw materials storage, to just-in-time delivery of supplies needed for sensitive manufacturing, to the delivery of finished goods,” says McDuffie.  “It’s a state of the art of facility that’s close to the Port of Houston Container Terminals.  Dunavant is bringing decades of proven experience, and new investments in the safety, systems, and equipment to this warehouse. We are eager to build on our success in Houston and expand our reach worldwide.”
