Dunavant Promotes Blake Johnson To Terminal Manager

Blake Johnson has joined Dunavant Trans Gulf, a subsidiary of Dunavant Transportation Group, as the Terminal Manager of its Dallas location.

Johnson was previously a Export Logistics Coordinator for Dunavant l Logistics Group’s Global Division at the company’s Memphis headquarters. In that role, he served as the key representative for some of the company’s top export clients and was responsible for delivering cargo to origin ports and railheads through cost-effective means. He developed a drayage business plan for the company that took advantage of empty ocean equipment and matched import destinations with export origins, ultimately reducing cost on existing businesses by 10 percent.

Previously, Johnson worked for the Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University.
