Dunavant Trans Gulf Hires Bethany Coots as Director of Marketing and Business Development for Transportation Division

June 4th, 2013

Dunavant Trans Gulf is pleased to announce that Bethany Coots has joined the company as its newest Director of Marketing and Business Development.

Bethany moved to Memphis in 2003 to complete her education at the University of Memphis and gained her first experience in the industry at Mallory Alexander International Logistics. Within five years, she had received the organization’s coveted annual “Big-Red-Q” Award for Quality Service and Operational Excellence, in addition to directing the Mallory Transport division and traveling on trade missions to Cuba.  To enhance her supply chain experience, Bethany moved to Houston in 2008 and joined the diverse warehousing and transportation team at Gulf Winds International Inc.  She later joined The Noble Group in 2010, where she managed the U.S. cotton freight for a $94 billion commodity trading company.

Bethany will be based at Dunavant Trans Gulf’s La Porte, Texas office.

“Dunavant’s reputation in this industry is peerless and I am looking forward to contributing to their growth,” says Bethany.  “In every aspect of their operations, they place the highest priority on solutions that exceed their clients’ expectations of service and satisfaction.”

“Bethany profoundly expands our capabilities in this sector and will create tremendous value for all of our transportation clients and partners,” says Richard McDuffie, Dunavant’s Chief Operating Officer.  “We are thrilled that she has accepted this position.”
