May 8th, 2013

Dunavant Logistics Group is pleased to announce that Jim Lange has joined the company as Director of Business Development.

Jim brings over 25 years of experience in third-party logistics and commercial agriculture business and operations, most recently as a Senior Vice President of Logistics at Farm Source International.  At Dunavant, Jim will be responsible for expanding all of the company’s shipping and supply chain management activities throughout the Southwestern United States, California, and the Pacific Northwest with particular focus on the growing international demand for agriculture commodities.

“Growing consumer markets throughout Asia and the Middle East have greatly intensified demand for American agricultural exports around the world,” explains Lange. “Dunavant is not only shrewd enough to recognize the opportunities here, but given their decades of experience in the agribusiness world, they can execute and create tremendous value for their clients and strategic partners.”

Jim will be based in Gilbert, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix.

“Our Phoenix-area location provides us with access to a multitude of thriving industries and export opportunities that perfectly match Dunavant’s unique capabilities and expertise,” says Richard McDuffie, Dunavant’s Chief Operating Officer. “Jim’s vast connections in the commercial farming industry and deep understanding of the global market are going to be terrific assets as we move forward.  He will accelerate the growth of our agri-business portfolio – which also includes cotton, lumber, tobacco, and grains – and can bring our logistics and supply chain solutions to a number of other sectors.”
