Dunavant welcomes VP of Business Development for drayage operations

HOUSTON — Global logistics firm Dunavant is proud to welcome Peter Van Etten as Vice President of Business Operations for Dunavant Trans Gulf Transportation, LLC. 

Based in Dunavant’s Houston office, Van Etten brings over 40 years of international trade experience to Dunavant. He has directed business development for a variety of global transportation and warehousing divisions and will turn his focus to growing drayage services under Dunavant’s intermodal global supply chain umbrella.

Dunavant’s 28-acre strategic location in La Porte, TX servicing the Port of Houston is just minutes from the Barbour’s Cut Terminal, Bayport Terminal and major railroads. The location is a cross-dock facility with a CY yard with both loaded and empty lift trucks. Dunavant retains over 350 company-owned chassis ranging from the standard 20’ and 40’ to the specialized equipment of lightweight 40’, tri-axles, and lightweight spread axles. Dunavant also runs 40+ company-owned dry van trailers and 60-40’ containers onsite.
