Georgia Port Update

Based on the current track of Hurricane Ian, Georgia Port Authority will open truck Gates 4 and 8 at Garden City Terminal from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, September 30. Gate 3 will be closed.

On Saturday, October 1, Gate 4 only will be open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Garden City Terminal.

GPA is targeting Saturday, October 1 morning to resume vessel service in Savannah.

Here are additional updates:


  • South Carolina Ports Authority said all marine terminals will operate at normal hours Thursday, but all will be closed Friday, September 30.


  • The North Carolina Ports Authority reported normal gate and vessel operations will continue Thursday at the Port of Wilmington, Port of Morehead City and the Charlotte Inland Port.


  • On Friday, September 30, there will be no vessel operations at Wilmington and Morehead City due to anticipated high winds.


We continue to monitor Hurricane Ian closely and will work with our customers to move their products in a safe and expeditious manner.
